Accommodation
For most people the proverbial “roof over the head” is the place where they feel comfortable and where they are at home. For people with learning disabilities the privacy of their home is even more important: it is the place where they can live an independent life (depending on their needs).Autism Therapy Centre
Our autism centre offers individual aids for children, youths and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families in the whole of Märkischer Kreis (The area can be expanded to the bordering cities, counties and councils as required). In counselling meetings, we jointly prepare ideal developmental, didactical and living conditions for people with ASD. By individual company, we furthermore enable optimal social participation.
Early Support
When little children are lacking certain incentives, it can, particularly in cases with developmental delays, a high risk of limited further development or disability, have influence on their development. Since children are yet highly suggestible particularly in early childhood. Thus, the earlier, the better.Family Support Service (FuD)
The Family Support Service (FuD) of the Lebenshilfe Lüdenscheid is an offer for families with relatives who have a disability or who are threatened by one. The aim of our FuD is to provide people with a disability a maximal quality of living by an adequate offer, to maintain it or to improve it. Supervising and caring relatives receive support and company and thus space for their own conduct of life and recreation.
Lebenshilfe Centres
A lot of people, not only people with learning disabilities, need support at some point in their life. Sudden unemployment, loneliness caused by moving home or difficulties within the family are just a few examples when people might need some good advice.School Integration
"Help me, so that I can do it myself!" Under this slogan, the Lebenshilfe Lüdenscheid also offers school integration for pupils who have a mental, physical and/or a psychological disability and cannot participate in normal classes of regular schools and special schools without support. For that, they are accompanied individually and demand-orientated by so-called integration aides of the Lebenshilfe Lüdenscheid. Additionally, the counselling team of the Lebenshilfe Lüdenscheid helps with applying to the welfare unit or youth department.
